I’ve worked with Rachel Lynn Chicago for many years, photographing seasonal campaigns, product launches, and editorial content. Rachel is a perfectionist , in the best way and she knows exactly how her jewelry should look, feel, and photograph. We have all got a system down now from working and knowing what is needed.
Rachel Lynn has a boutique in Aspen, and her collections are designed to translate across locations, seasons, and platforms. My role is to create imagery that works everywhere , website, campaigns, print, and social. All while staying true to the brand.
For this holiday shoot, we focused on clean product imagery and polished portraits first. Once we had what we needed for the campaign, we had room to experiment. This is when Rachel says
“ I trust you, have some fun”
This is what commercial photography looks like when the relationship is established. The structure is already there. The expectations are clear. The work moves efficiently and we get to have some fun, All while creating something beautiful for her.
Long-term brand partnerships allow for better work , not louder work. Just images that do their job well. Rachel is now a close friend and she deserves all the love she gets for her work. It’s timeless jewelry that can be worn every day as well as dressed up on special occasions. I especially loves how she layers her pieces together and mixes metals. If you are ever in Aspen check her boutique out.
